I am shooting a hockey tourney this weekend in a VERY dark arena....much darker than my usual venues. The images will ALL be unedited and loaded on CD's for customers by my client. I normally hate working like this, but the payday was just too large to pass up. I generally shoot at ISO 3200 and get nice results that absolutely shine after I do post in LR4.

Can anyone enlighten me as to the highest ISO they have been able to use with a D3 and still get solid images that need little noise reduction etc ?? These will NOT be used for large prints etc....just given to the teams for 4 x 6 prints etc.
Most photos will be taken with a 70-200 f2.8 with a few using a 28-70 f2.8.
As I said....I hate this type of work but the mercenary in me is coming out this weekend.

Thanks all.
