If you are using the copyright feature, don't forget to update the year to "2013". Too bad Nikon can't get this to be automatically updated using the on-board clock/calendar.

It probably is not a camera issue, but a political issue about how the copyright is worded imprinted throughout the world. Also unlike the U.S., there maybe no assumed copyright. Other countries could have different rules about when and how to apply the copyright notice and registration that might not allow this.
Another political issue is the application of Daylight Savings Time, DST. One would think this could easily be automated within the camera just like on your computer. But it can not. This comes about because it is a political decision as to when and if a location will use DST. For example, the U.S. has recently changed the dates when to start and end DST. This required computer software Operating System providers to patch their products. I have alarm clocks and a wristwatch all capable of automatically adjusting for DST but they are all a week off because their firmware can not be updated.
