I have just had my first hands on experience with the d100 FANTASTICn ( sold 1 the first day and 2 the second day) And I have been reading upu on the Fuji s2pro.
Here it comes. After a having customer being disappointed not being able to use a sigma hsm lens on his s1 pro because it's bases on a F60, I started the read the small print in the folder of the s2pro that had just arrived, (the folder, not the camera)
Although it is bases on a F80, wich is a camera that accepts almost all nikkors. And even AF-S and VR can be used.
The Fuji S2-pro does not accept the 17/35 2.8 AF-S and the 80-200 2.8 AF-S.
So for all of you lucky ones who own these lenses and have money left for digital camera's and were in doubt.
FUJI SUCKS NIKON ROCKS.
I still think this is the strangest thing, because it is very likely for a whole lot of photographers to buy this kind of extreme wideangle.
So now you know, the Nikon ages have barely started. And we are there to live them.
The Fuji S2 Pro does in fact work with all AF-S Nikkors. I tried it today with the 17-35, 28-70, 80-200 and 300/2.8. As a matter of fact on the cover of the S2 box, the camera is shown with a AF-S 28-70/2.8 mounted on the body.
