I use a D700, D300s and a D2x. I'd like to get a couple of CF cards that are larger than my current 8gb Sandisk Extreme cards that are compatible with all three bodies. Can I use 16gb cards with these bodies? If they work should I stay with Sandisk? I'm a raw shooter and on a day long photo adventure I fill my current cards quickly and that's the reason I'm looking into larger cards.
I use a D2X and a D700. Both have 16GB CF cards and never had a problem. Although tempted to get one or two 32GB or even 64GB, I'll rather keep my current five 16GB cards to spread the risk of loosing one or have a malfunction. Lexar Professional and Sandisk Extreme Pro are both the most reliable cards for me. Lexar CF cards were the first ones approved by Nikon for DSLRs, then later added Sandisk. That's why I keep using those brands exclusively, more so after reading of failures of other brands from fellow Nikonians. Now Nikon expanded the list to include Toshiba and Panasonic.
