I've been trying to upgrade my D4 to the updated A: 1.01 / B:1.01 firmware, but the download firmware/software server at Nikon has been down for almost 2 days.
In my opinion, the company just isn't doing a professional job when it comes to customer service and sales. They don't seem to be planning very well, and they're so closed mouthed about their problems it's maddening.
Glad to hear that you were able to update. I'm still waiting for my D4 to arrive. Hopefully sometime soon. Actually, I guess I could pre-load the firmware update just I case the camera arrives without the update. Maybe the central servers are linked to the shipment and movement of the D4/D800's lol
Fortunately, I'm on the pro list which helps, but it still took too long and UPS killed my first one, so it had to be replaced, which delayed it more.
My daughter-in-law still doesn't have hers and it was ordered on the first day pre-orders were being taken. Hopefully she'll get hers soon. My son is gave it to her for her birthday. I wish I knew he was going to do that, as I would have ordered hers with mine (Shhhh, don't tell Nikon USA.). Now she just has to get it.
