I used the GGS protector on my D3, D3s, and D3x. I'm still waiting for them or Giottos to offer a 3.2-inch version. So far, no luck, not even from Roxsen. With at least four pro cameras now sporting 3.2-inch screens we shouldn't have long to wait, at least for a generic version that's the right size. Until then, I've been using a WriteRight skin. One for the 5D Mark III might also work:
I'd sure like a spare battery, too. When I had the D3s and D3x, I rarely used both on the same shoot, so I always had at least one spare. With the reduced capacity of the D4's battery, an extra becomes more essential. B&H is accepting more pre-orders and says it has released in limited quantity some of them at $169.00. Seems to be the same deal at Adorama, which you have probably already checked, like me.

EN-EL15's are easy to find even in stores that don't have a D800 in stock. The same battery is used in other Nikon cameras, such as the D7000 and V1. The D7000 has been around for awhile, so I expect many stores would have them.
Nikon batteries used to have broader compatibility among models. At one time or another I owned a D50, D70, D80, D90, D200, D300/D300s and D700, and the same EN-EL3e battery worked in all of them.
Eldar, from Photocraft, just dropped the battery in the mail. I had ordered thru NPS, but somehow the ball got dropped. He also sent an expresscard reader for the XQD card. I'd rather have something that stays in the computer, and I have a heck of a time keeping up with the supplied card reader.
