I had a chance to handle a D4 in the wild yesterday at the Crown Room in ATL - B Concourse. Gentleman's name was Rob and I did not think (after an 11 hour flight and four hours into an eight hour delay layover) to ask him if he was a member.

Handling was very nice - much like the D3s. Great display, new control are OK.

What I did not like was the new layout for the vertical grip. Both the new thumb notch as well as the crochet hook looking finger groove they have made. With the way the groov is now it forces my other fingers out further and jams them against the bottom of the lens mount. It was very uncomfortable for me.

Anyone else have the same opinion or do I need to handle one for a longer time and just shoot it and not think about it.
