I just purchased my first full frame camera, the D3S. I used my 10-20 wide angle lens and had serious vignetting (basically it was a black circle around the edges of my picture) Is this normal for a full frame camera? I don't remember having that issue on my D300.
Your 10-24 is a DX lens so it will not cover the FX sensor. You will need a full frame wide if you want full frame images. Your D300 has the smaller DX sensor so the 10-24 provided full coverage. The closest full frame wide zoom to the 10-24 DX is the 14-24 f2.8. If you like wides it is a fantastic lens, and not nearly as expensive as your D3s.
