Hi. I was shooting a softball tourney today and noticed the flashing "clock" indicator on the top display. I checked the World Clock and it had reset itself to 2007 November NN. The time was also incorrect. When the clock and date reset, it created a new folder with a create date of November 2007. Has anyone experienced this before? I know that a new folder is created after 999 images. Could the clock have been reset when the 999 count was reached and the D3 created a new folder? I don't think it is the clock battery because I've only owned the camera since June 2009.

My D3 has rolled over the 999 images mark a number of times, but it never reset the clock in doing so. My bet is on the clock battery or its connections. Maybe a bit of corrosion or dirt making the connection flaky. Granted, the battery is pretty new, but it could be defective.
