I am after some help with my trusty Nikon D1X!

Although the camera is still basically as new, (Less than a 1000 pictures) I picked the camera up two days ago, after not using it for about 7 months and shifted the focusing area to right of centre and the right hand focusing halo will not light up! The bottom focusing halo is very feint but the other three halo's are very bright, which is what I would consider to be normal.

Do I need a new focusing screen and/or should I remove the screen and check anything? Does the screen have electrical contacts on it and could this be the cause of the issue?

If it is a new focusing screen and I cannot get a new standard version, will another cameras screen fit instead, may be from A F100?

Many Thanks.
