Before I get started, I think this is the right forum, since this device is new with the D3, and intended primarily for the D3.

I noticed today that B&H is showing this item is in stock. First, the price has jumped to $799 versus $599 for the WT-2a which worked with my D2x. The functionality seems to be the same. Same wireless transfer speeds (Not Nikon's fault, these are where the technology is today).

But what got me really spun up is that from what I read, this unit still needs power to work. It looks as if you have to buy a D70 battery and charger to make this item work, and that's about another $100. I'm rethinking keeping my D70, I love that little camera anyway.

Am I missing something?

DOOH! B&H dropped the price to $729 already!
