I was thinking, it would be great to see our work stations. Maybe we could get some ideas on set-ups and such. I'll even start. This is the where I sort images and do the bulk of my photo-compositing. The smaller monitor usually has my Itunes menu, or a web page, or instant messages, I'm looking at while i work.

Yeah, some do different functions.. alot of the devices in my office are for evalutaion and testing.. Most are there for wahtever device i feel like using that day I am currently testing out alot of Tablet PC's... my favorites are Motion Computing/Gateway, Toshiba 3500 and HP tablet... in that order.. although the tosh and motion are neck and neck... dont ask to see all the handhelds i have
Great thread! It's cool to see everyones office. I thought I'd be a little different. Here is a 360 panorama of my office. No windows but the Lazy Boy is sure comfortable! The image is kinda big so if your on a modem, be patient... http://www.butterflydesigns.net/panoramas/office01.htm

I have been told that I’m an operating systems whore.
That’s an HP LaserJet 1200. So far 1,731 pages printed, no jams and still on the first toner cartage. I also have an Epson 820 “photo” printer that I got free with my iBook. Pretty nice but I haven’t gotten the ink replaced as I just use online services now.
Yes, my room is a mess. I will clean it when I move in July.
1. Each printer has a particular characteristic and I have it set up to print a specific task such as the HP 990CSE for generalized everyday correspondence, the Epson 980N Pro and Epson 785 EPX for photo projects. The Epson C80 actually belongs to my son and I'm using it and it's cartridges for printing up thousands of business cards for my wife's cosmetology business. The Epson C80 really sucks - the worse Epson printer I ever tried. The printer that I have in the box is going to work in my office there.
2. Okay, you guys can go ahead and laugh!!!
3. Of course, I will sell two of the printers once I eventually pick up the Epson 2200!!!
I may be squared away in some areas, but others I fall short. I guess we're all like that. We can leave some folks in awe regarding our organizational skills, but then leave other areas very unkempt. I'm kind of like that (and I know most guys are too). The reference to my being a former Marine is nice when it suits the purpose, but for all of my other unorganized ways, I blame it on my exposure to the Navy!!!
By the way, all of you can eat your hearts out, 'cause here's a photo of my office overlooking the lake!!! Taken last year with a cheapie camera - not a great quality photo. But eat your hearts out anyway!!!
Yeah...I know, but it doesn't make a difference where one works. When the time comes to leave...you leave!! This is a vacation spot for many folks, but since I have to look at that place for 60 hours a week during the warmer months, it purely work!!!

OUCH! You must mean the Navy Corpman...Gee, I wonder what they where there for? Haha...
Ok my turn, A sailor and a jar.. I mean marine are taking a piss, when they finish the marine washes his hands and the sailor walks by. The Marine says to the sailor "In the Marines we where taught to wash our hands after we took a leak". The sailor says "In the Navy we were taught not to piss on our hands"!
What does this have to do with this news group? Nothing! Just a couple of ex-service men carrying on a tradition of ribbing each other and hopefully making a person smil Fred (X-squid) P.S. I love your posts Ben!
I took a couple of shots and when I reviewed them I realized how messy it looked. I really did clean it up before taking the second set of photos. This is the only room in the house that "She who must be obeyed" doesn't clean. I do it. She just looks in every once in a while, looks around, and shakes her head. I guess I will have to clean it again in June.
I started with the 3000 for graphics proofing and it does a great job for Quark layouts etc... but it is not very good at Photos. Then I bought the 820 as my 1st photo printer and wow I couldn't wait to get a 1280 to be able to make larger prints. When I got the D100 I got the 1280 at the same time and I'm making 8x12's for framing most pof the time. They have the same print head technology but the 820 now prints accouning and business stuff from the Dell!
