I use a 16GB Sandisk Extreme III in my D2x. Works fine, though I've never come close to filling it. I got a great deal on it, but in general, I don't know how wise it is to use one huge card like this.
Why not... the 16gig is the best for me. I just bought 4 more last week ($138 for a no name card). I can shoot both raw and large Jpeg. This way I don't have do worry about converting later and in a year the conversation will be, is a 100gig card the right one? Thechnology is changing faster then the card. The brand name is in the advertising, just like the diference from generic and name brand drugs, they are the same, just less cost. No problems in over 10,000 pictures in the most diverse conditions... Everglades to the Tetons. Ron
Not quite true when it comes to CF cards IMHO I bought and tested several off brands and one guys 100x card couldn't come close to another guys 60x card. And it wasn't even close. 90 seconds to dump the buffer vs. 35 seconds in one test - in the field 90 seconds can be a real problem.
