I have a lot of old AI/AIS lenses that I use on my D2h. I have noticed that something typically goes wrong with the EXIF data for aperture on these lenses. For example, if I set the 135/f2 at f/8, I may it listed in the EXIF data as f/6.7; similarly if I set the 35/f1.4 at f/5.6, I often show f/5.3 or f/6.1 in the EXIF data. The odd thing is that it seems to show correctly in the finder - ie the 35/f1.4 above actually shows f/5.6 in the finder, even though I know that later the EXIF will say something else.

I am not precise enough with exposure to know if the meter is in fact off by a third stop or so. Certainly I have not noticed any such error.

Yes, I do set the non-CPU lens data every time I mount an AI/AIS lens.
