Im going to be picking up a D2xs hopefully by the end of the week. I hope this isnt a terably stupid question. If I choose to get a WT 1 or 2 and plan on using it with a Mac g4 laptop, how would this work at say a wedding, Does the location have to have wqireless internet available or does the camera talk to the computer through their own network, My laptop is currently equiped for 811.b, so if I wanted to use the Wt2 I would need to upgrade the card in the laptop to a G to ensure fastest file transfer. Thanks
Im shooting a D2h now but might upgrade it to a S after getting settled in with my new Nikon

Yes they can talk 'ad-hoc' (camera to Mac) but if you're going to use a D2Xs you'll definately want a WT-2 for speed. However (you saw this coming didn't you!!) - seemingly ad-hoc only works for 11 Mbps speed so you'd need a small wifi access point - either standalone or Dlink make a USB powered one. My (Windows) PC has a program which converts the inbuilt card to an accesspoint so I can run at full speed.

Thanks adrian, just ordered the d2xs last night so I wont rush into this Ill have a lot to learn about the camera with out the wireless confusion for now but I could see where this could be nice, thanks and I think even though the wt1 is under $100 compared to $600 that it would be worth it
