DK-17m eyepiece magnifier--some important questions
I didn't find answers to these questions anywhere.
1. Does the DK-17m fit D1 series bodies? I thought that the D2 bodies have a bayonet mount eyepiece while the D1 bodies have a screw mount. Who has used the DK-17m on D1 series cameras--does it work all right?
2. Does the DK-17m require the diopter adjustment to be set differently than you set it normally? By how many clicks and which direction if so?

On my D2X, I do have to adjust the diopter differently with the DK-17M. It's one click negative with contact lenses, and 3 clicks negative with glasses (compared to neutral for contacts and 1 click negative for glasses without the DK-17M).

The D2 series have a threaded screw mount for the eyepiece, just as the F5 and F6 (at least). Nikon USA's web site shows that it is compatible with D1's as well here.
