I tried some long exposures for star tracks the other night and noticed that there seems to be a lag of the same duration as the exposure before the camera writes the data to the card. Specifically, after a 20-minute exposure it was another 20 minutes before the green light came on indicating that the data was finally being written to the card. In the top LCD display panel is the note *job nr* which I presume means job noise reduction? I had long exposure noise reduction on, but was not aware that this results in a doubling of the time before another image can be taken.

Is this normal for a D2x?
