One both the D2X cameras that I have used (the one that I returned and my current one) the shutter releases was not zero on either one.

On my current camera I forgot to check when I got it but having taken about 20-30 images the total number of shutter releases for camera recorded in the exit data is 143.

Do Nikon fire the shutter a few times (well about 100 or so times) to test each camera before it is shipped?

Thanks.

Simon
