I recently bought a 60mm micro lens to use wmy D100 and I'm a bit confused about the distance scale on the focusing ring as well as the stated focusing distance in the manual. It says the min distance is 8 3/4", but I'm much closer when doing macro work: more like 2+ inches. At 8 3/4" it's way out of focus.

Can anyone explain this?

Happy with the results though. This lens is really sharp.

Thanks
