Hi all
have you come across this...

My D1x is set to aperture priority (sorry, said shutter originally) with any lens.
First, I point the camera at a subject and press the shutter release button halfway down to lock the focus.
Then I recompose the shot, exposure reads 125@F8
I take one shot, then straight away take another without changing the composition (and the light doesn't change).
The first shot is taken at 125@F8 but the next one is taken at 250@F8
The first shot is too light and the second is correct?

Doing this by changing from a bright subect to focus on to a darker composition also produces the same degree of under/over exposure.

I have spoken to Nikon(UK) about this and they suggest I send the camera in for a look at.
I have just done that and had to hire a D1x until it is repaired (not much fun on my wallet)
but the hired one does the same??

Any clues anyone?

If I thought I would be this thirsty this morning, I would have drunk more last night :)
