Trying to decide if I should trade my nikor 28-105 (which has been a nice standard lense) in for the newer nikor 24-85 lense 3.5-4.5 ed. The pros for makiing the change would be a wider angle lense, quicker autofocus (silent wave motor), the 24-85 lense ring does not rotate when zooming which makes using a circular polarizing filter easier, slightly lighter lense and smaller. The cons are: no macro, less of a telephoto, another investment and I am not sure if the I would be gaining or losing as far as picture quality. Any opinions are appreciated
