Will D2X have contrast control?
I have looked at the specs for the upcoming D2x but see no mention of contrast control. I find this feature useful in the D70 and -- to a lesser extent -- in the D100. When photographing white birds in sunlight, I often use the moderately low setting for contrast and this helps me in dealing with the dynamic range of the subject. The D100 allows contrast control also but only offers one setting while the D70 offers two (for lowering contrast).
I have not worked with the D1x, the D1H or the D2H so I don't know if this is a feature on the professional level cameras.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Yes it does, it is in the menu system. Most will prefer to shoot in RAW, and adjust accordingly after the fact.
However, to speed up processing, I will change in camera if I am pretty sure of the desired result.
