Just what the subject states - who
Considering the recent price drop in D1h's on the used market - they are becoming quite attractive.
As far as the quality of the print is concerned - actual size rendering a quality print - what is the largest recommended? Can 8.5x11 (slight cropping) be printed off with respectible quality?
Thanks for your time.

While I don't use it as much as I once did, I still do have my D1H. The question you ask can be very subjective. I personally have found success printing to the size of 13x19. I personally feel that you should have no problems printing to 8.5x11 but that is only my opinion and others may disagree. One thing that is poor about the D1H is the battery life. Be prepared to carry around at least one spare.

I just picked one of these up about 3 weeks ago (or a month, 2 months? jeez...)
It is my first digital camera, and I must say that I am impressed. I have yet to print anything larger than a 5x7, but I use mine for the college newspaper mainly.
All I can say is I'm impressed with it. Speed, handling, weather proofing (It started pouring out of no where..you know, calm dark clouds, then just a torrent of rain..soaked camera)...One of the down sides are battery life. ..My batteries are old...About 150 shots per battery, but they are well past their life span. Spare batteries are a must have even if you aren't shooting digital. ...And the only thing else that gets on my nerves is that everywhere I go, people always ask me "Who are you with?" "Do you do weddings?" "I was thinking of getting...." "oooooohhhh. Can I take a picture with that thing?"
Is that a bad thing though?
