Hi all,

On my Fuji S1, I normally shoot with sharpening turned OFF and I use an unsharp mask in Photoshop in post processing. I use the following values:

amount=120

radius=0.8

threshold=1

With my kit and these values, I get some very crisp images.

I have experimented with sharpening set on the camera to "STD" (standard) and the results have been quite nice too (sometimes, it is hard to tell the difference). My question: when is it appropriate to shoot with sharpening performed by the camera? When I shoot a lot of images, it takes a long time to sharpen all of them in software.

Thanks for your help.
