Do anybody have an idea why D-Cams manufacturers do not use electronic shutters for their cameras?

From the microelectronics standpoint I learned it would be possible to add enable elements for each CCD cell.

Could you imagine a camera w/o mechanical shutter? Probably people could get more reliability and flexibility to use speedlight (no curtain problems) and to select speed!
