Can anyone tell me what color temp or white balance setting is best to use at a professional baseball night game? I think the lights are incandescent but I'm not sure. My D1x allows me to set the color temp exactly but I'm not sure what number to plug in. Thanks in advance!

I shoot a lot of night soccer games and I use WB auto.
One problem is that the lighting varies from stadium to stadium. Another problem is that the color temperature changes as the night wears on. There is usually substantial sunlight at game start and none at the end.
I shoot raw and wind up with less than 3% needing post processing color adjustments.
The safest bet would be a preset WB or shooting NEF and adjusting later.
That said, it's been my experience that many professional and DI college facilities use lights whose color temperature is pretty close to daylight, so you may be safe using the Daylight or Cloudy -3 settings.
I don't recall off hand how to do a preset WB on the D1x, but I believe it's accessible via the LCD menu.
