I stopped by my local camera shop and they have a gray in color 28-70 for sale. A student from nearby Carson Newman College is selling it and he's from Taiwan. It's pricy at $1200, I don't plan to get it, just wanted to gather info on it. Any chance it can be serviced by NIkon if it ever needed it? The color gray would cause a lot of confusion in the Canon world wouldn't it?
Good find, Peter. I guess if you really want something a little different, Japan is the place to go. I'm surprised they still have the white lenses. The Japanese photographers are also pretty serious collectors.
