It just arrived in the mail, and I haven't had a chance to do any serious shooting with it. But just looking out the front window, focusing seems awful noisy. On the other hand, it works with a 1.4 x teleextender. Now to go outside and do some real photography.

My old 80-400 VR has been gathering dust since I purchased the Sigma 150-500 a couple of years ago. I hope this new model gives me justification for making the leap back to Nikon. I have big hopes for how well it performs on the D800.
I will also be interested on how it performs with a DX body. When the "D400" is released I will make the decision on whether to go with a D7100 or D400 for a DX body.
D800, D3s, 14-24, 24-70, 24-120 f4, 70-200 VR and VRIIx2, 80-400 VR, Sigma 150-500.

I'm very eager to hear what people have to say about this lens. I have my name on the pre-order list but we won't see it hitting stores in Canada until later next week or the week after.
