Nikon announces two new lenses

Nikon just announced a new 18-35 FX zoom that looks like a good budget option. They also announced the 800 f5.6 with custom teleconverter that I really hope you've been saving your pennies for. At $18,000 it's not just going to take a bite out of your wallet, it's going to eat it alive. Still, looking at that MTF chart, I don't think I've ever seen a lens with that kind of performance.

Another amazing spec is that, according to Nikon's main web site right now, it weighs a little less than the 400 2.8. Still I'd have to take a mortgage on my house to buy it. Let' see, what sort of interest rate could I get.....?
PS: Nikon USA says the weight is "(Approx.) 26 oz. (4590g)"
and is obviously an error. 4.59 kg is 10 lbs 1.9 oz. nikon.com (the global site) gives the latter figure.
