Hi Guys,
Just received an AF-S VR 105 f2.8 ID-ED today,
As you do, read through the instructions, (I've never had a VR lens before),
Noticed that one page states,
"With D3 series cameras that have the AF-ON button, vibration reduction will not operate, even if the AF-ON button is depressed"

Now,
I have set up all my banks on the D700 to work AF-ON only, also, I have the shutter set to "release"

I think that I hear the VR "kick in" when I press the shutter down 1/2 way but I'm just guessing

So, what I'm saying is that with the "AF-ON only" for focus, does the VR still kick in when I am using the shutter set to "release"?
Regards,
Gary

I used to have a photographic memory but never got it developed
