Purchased a used D200 for $225 and the owner threw in a 28-80 auto focus lens.

The lens appears to have an issue in that it won't focus on anything more that 10-15' away. Up close it's fine but anything more and all pictures come out blurry.

All of my distant pictures were coming out blurry so through process of elimnation, I installed a borrowed NIKKOR 18-55 or 18-200 and everything appears fine.

With the 28-80 lens it seems to be worse (my imagination maybe) in Single focus mode.
I am thinking that the lens is the issue, not the camera. And would explain why he threw the lens in at that price.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance,

Del
