Fixing filter threads on my Nikon AF 20mm 2.8

the lens was pretty badly dented on the outer edge where the filter threads are after a fall.

Thankfully, the damage was limited to just the dent, the lens works fine. However I can't get my filters to screw in anymore.
I shoot almost everything on this AF 20mm 2.8, with an orange filter, but now the threads are shredded.
