Hi, I would like to buy a 28 2.8 AF-D lens. Is is it a dood choise or I should go for 28 2.8 MF AIS (my camera is F70). Is there any alternative lens?

I have the AF-D. It's a very versatile focal length at a very reasonable price. As long as you have an AF camera, you may as well get the AF lens, especially if you shoot people and events, where AF is really handy. It's designed to be comfortable to manually focus, too, unlike some of the inexpensive zooms.
Since you have an F70, though, you can take advantage of whatever used MF bargains you might run across, like a 135mm f2.8 AIS.---scott

I've asked around and researched the 28mm choice about 6 months ago. I currently have the 28mm AF non-D, it's about a decade old. The general consensus and lens tests results show that the best optics of these belong to the 28mm AIS lens (MF), followed closely by the 28mm AF-D. The older 28mm AF, the one I've tolerated all these years, is based on the old 28mm Series-E. Do not get this lens. Mine has been a source of frustration for me that I rarely use the 28mm focal length unless I need to. It's soft everywhere at the wider apertures until about f/8 and its color is too cold for my taste.
If you really have to have the best, get the 28mm AIS. But compared to the 28mm AF-D, we're probably splitting hairs. So I would suggest the 28mm AF-D as you gain AF for use on your F70.

I have the 28mm f2.8 AF-D and find it excellent all round. I use it for landscape, plant and street photography and love the all round sharpness and colour rendition. Can't coment on the MF version as I have never used it.
Answer to the question: "Yes, it is a nice lens!"

If I may, take a look also into the 24mm f/2.8D AF, the angle coverage difference is amazing and still very manageable in terms of vertical lines.
