I own a Tamron 28-300 lens mounted on an F80 and I am not impressed with the pictures I'm taking at focal lengths greater than 100mm. The colors aren't vivid and the lighting always seems dark. I'm thinking of purchasing a Nikon 70-210 F4 Non-d lens to cover that range and hopefully take better pics when I really want to. Does anyone have any experience with both of these lenses or just the Nikon 70-210? I can't really take the lens out and test it before buying it so I value your opinions as my $200 is riding on it. Thanks.
