I put some print film through my F5 the other day(usually use slide)and at about No.6 frame it made the same sound it makes when it loads the initial frame and the frame counter said it was on No.1. It also ocassionally says END at about 24-30 ,with slide,as soon as I hit the focus, regardless which power supply I am using. If I put it on full manual mode I can get it to advance to next frame and then after that it works.I took it to Nikon UK a while ago but they could not recreate the fault(typical). It only happens erratically...Any ideas?

Try Fixation: they are the pro Nikon repair shop in London (Vauxhall) and have been in business for fifteen years. Website: fixationuk.com
Grays of Westminster send all their repairs there.
If you have an F5 problem they have probably seen it before and should be able to fix it.
