Iirc, the number of shutter clicks can be obtained using Nikon Photo Secretary. But there's a limit to the amount of data it can store. For shutter count, I think it can only store around 75 rolls. So the max you can see is 36 shots x 75 rolls. No idea what happens after you reach the limit
It sounds like an excellent body. I'm not sure about Photo secretary, I have SoftTALK 2000, a third party software package similar to Photo Secretary. SoftTALK 2000 should keep count of up to 9999 rolls however I personally haven't reached that point yet. It will also keep count of the number of frames shot per roll so you can do the math and come up with what should be close to the number of shutter actuations. Where you would run into a snag is if you didn't download the data from the camera in a long time the camera will start to overwrite the data so while you would have the roll count you wouldn't have the frame counts from some of the rolls.
It's not recent, and I really don't consider it a "score" as much as I consider it a completed project, but...
I picked up a near mint F4s last year. Love it, but it's a brick with a shutter. I managed to find an almost mint MB-20 for it. I added a K screen, but wasn't quite satisfied, so I looked around and found a P screen. I've invested more than I'd hoped, but everything is like new, so I consider it more of an investment than a purchase.
Now my Precious is complete. I can't wait to go on vacation to New Orleans in August to test it out.
