Did anyone ever make a l-bracket for the F6 without the vertical grip? Neither Kirk or RRS lists one. I did manage to find just a Kirk quick release plate at Adorama.

Kirk used to make them, model BL-F6. I have one on my F6 that I bought in 2005.

I bought the Kirk BL-F6 and BL-F6G right after I got my F6 in 2005 and didn't realize they had been discontinued. I have the BL-F6G on mine most of the time as I prefer using the MB-40 with the EN-EL4a batteries.

RRS used to make an L-Bracket for the F6 as well - I have one, model BF6-L, that has been on it since I got the camera. Unfortunately they seem to be out of production now although one can get an RRS L-Bracket for an F6 with grip.
