Congratulations. I like my F4 and hope you like yours a lot too..
However, Ican't say it has proved too battery hungry. Not sure how many rolls you plan to shoot every month, but I would think it would last at least a couple of months without needing new batteries. You could always rewind the film manually if you wish to really save your batteries.
To be honest however, I have so many film bodies and use them all regularly so despite shooting 50 rolls or so in the past 3 months, I've never had to replace the batteries in anything!
While I only shoot a roll or two of film through my F4s a year since transitioning to digital, I don't remember it being a battery hog with the MB-21 or even the MB-20 for that matter. It was my primary body for 8 years and a back up for another 8 years after that. Good Luck and Enjoy your Nikons!

My F4s is excellent on batteries. I do not shoot much, I take it out, shoot a couple of rolls and put it away again. believe it or not, I have owned the camera since 2001 and have only changed the batteries 3 times....gary
