>There, I've finally said it!!! It's out... >I feel so much better now. LOL
Dave, you'll feel even better with that rubber covered, magnesium alloy engineering marvel in your hands. I bought mine in 2008 and it's quickly become my favored camera. Every couple of years as the new crop of FX Super Cams are released I fondly gaze at my F6, thankful to be spared from the "need" to "upgrade." Youll quickly learn there's no suitable upgrade from the F6; It sits alone at the top. Period. Have fun! John B. Crane www.nikonf6.net
You guys are giving me NAS in a bad way. I have placed a Nikon F6 wallpaper on my monitor...
I can dream of the new 85mm 1.4 G lens and the F6 as a terrific combo. Or I can just dream of the F6, used prices are not too bad, and use what lenses I have left. Still coming up with only half the funds so far.
Have missed my F5 ever since parting with it three years ago, but haven't yet missed the D2H or the D2X. Not even the D40, D90, D300 bodies I used at the office, back when I had a job. But, I do miss that F5 with the MF28 back.
The F6 is my favorite film camera. I got mine after having a D70 and a D200 and I like it as much as my D3. The F6 is what got me back into shooting film and I take it out probably at least once a week. I use the Coolscan V ED and my pictures are as good as any of my digital cameras. Here's a couple of shots from a while back.

We all come into this world with our little egos equipped with individual horns. If we don't blow them, who else will? George Sanders as Addison DeWitt in "All About Eve"
Hi, I just got one for $999 Canadian (at par with USD) from Lens and Shutter in Vancouver. They appear to be blowing out their stock. Very limited stock that is ... I called them at 9:30am when the store opened and the salesman found me one in their Langley store and it shipped out today. Should be here in a couple days.
I am a happy D200 and ecstatic D800 owner who recently picked up a very cherry F4 for a song with a a couple nice lenses. So, I was not in the market really for another film camera - but when I saw the online price of $999 I just had to have one. It has some good company as I have a Rollei 35S, Bronica ETRSi, Contax 139Q, a Shen-Hao 4x5, and an Ansco 8x10. I also have a Canon FTb for sentimental reasons as it was 40 years ago in 1973 when my folks bought me a brand new FTb at Sears for $269 - how awesome could that be for an eleven year old boy?
If you give L&S a call, who knows they just may find another one out there. Worth a try.
I am tempted to just keep it in the box but that ain't gonna ****ing happen! Now I just need to sell my Contax 139Q and Zeiss lenses... and the Rollei and the Ansco - not to pay for the F6 but to find them good homes Nice problem to have - I know.
