Nikon F5, Multiple exposure and Ch mode together
Hello everyone, I've been having a blast with my F5, its been to Okinawa and around Tokyo at the moment.
I have been composing an artistic shot that I would like to do.
I want to make multiple exposure on one frame but I want to make many multiple exposures rapidly, rather than having to reset the multiple exposure button every time.
The D2H and D3 has this function.
I was wondering if I could do the same with Multiple exposure engaged and drive set to Ch mode. Unfortunately, I've got velvia 50 loaded up in my camera at frame 10 out of 35 and I dont want to blow through 10 frames on a mistake.
If anyone has any suggestions of have tried this, any help would be welcomed.
Thanks very much.

According to page 87 of the F5 manual:
'TO TAKE MORE THAN TWO SHOTS ON THE SAME FRAME rotate the Main-Command Dial while pressing the multiple exposure button before taking the second shot(while ME button is blinking on the top LCD panel). the shutter can be released on the same frame as many times as desired until the ME is cancelled.'
You can set the ME mode to remain on after taking the second shot using Custom Setting #13. To cancel this action, rotate the Main-Command Dial while pressing the ME button so the ME icon disappears from the top LCD panel.
The manual makes no mention of the CH mode as a limitation.
Hope this helps.

Thank you Bob!!, I got this camera second hand with only the manual and little card in Japanese only.
I had completely forgotten about the CSM button and all its function.
Thank you so much again.
Looking forward to posting my pictures after they are scanned.
