I am using a F4 with the standard Type B focusing screen and it works fine when auto focusing. I have collected several manual focus lenses and was reading that the Type K or Type P focusing screen for the F4 has a split-image rangefinder. Would either of these focusing screens aid manual focusing? Would either of these focusing screens create problems when auto focusing? I have had some difficulty finding these type of screens on eBay or other places. Are these screens not readily available or am I looking in the wrong spots?
Thanks for the help.

They'll be a lot better than the stock B screen. Another screen that's decent is the J screen. Autofocus doesn't get affected because the AF module is in the bottom of the mirror box.
They are hard to find. When I saw that there was a K screen for my F4 at my local shop, I jumped on it. I'd rather a P screen, but a K screen works well. Luckily, since they were closing up for the night, and the screen wasn't listed in their system, they let me have it for free, along with a -3 diopter for an F3HP.

The F4 has been out of production several years.
You could go on the Grays of Westminster (in UK) wants list. Right now they only list F2 screens.
Photography is a bit like archery. A technically better camera, lens or arrow may not hit the target as often as it could if the photographer or archer does not practice enough.
