Rich, I just got an F5 about 2 weeks ago. I can't put it down even when I'm not shooting! I just love to hold it, flip the eyepiece cover back and forth, MLU lever, too. I trip the shutter at 8 fps without film just to hear it go. This is NOT a healthy relationship between a man and his camera. Oh, BTW, I've already put 10+ rolls through it,too. RGB metering is just too accurate. I keep bracketing, but I end up ditching the bracketed shots in favor of the camera's choice. It's sitting by my side right now with a brand new Nikonians strap. I'm in heaven
I don't understand what all the fuss is about. It's only a camera. So it's an F5, BIG DEAL. So it shoots 8 frames per second, BIG DEAL. So it has the best metering system on the planet, BIG DEAL. So you can attach the best and newest Nikkors to it, BIG DEAL. So you can track and autofocus on a F16 coming at you at 150 mph, Big Deal.
Congratulations on your new purchase. Just keep shooting and don't look back.
