I haven't used my first and beloved Nikon...a N6006...for a couple of years. I took it out today to pull the Sigma lens off the body to try it on my D90 (just for grins). When I pulled off the lens I looked at the mirror and it seems to have fouled. There appears to be a fouling (delamination?) of the mirror coating along one side and along the bottom. I guess this means that photos would be a mess with the odd dispersion from the fouled edges.

I loved this camera. Groan.
