I think my camera is broken...
My Nikon N80 just stopped turning on(nothing shows AT ALL on the mini screen) a few days ago unexpectedly. It was starting to act up by changing f-stops and shutter speeds every time I took a picture and I don't know if that's a weird setting of some sort... Well after about two or three months of this happening, my camera broke. Since I've tried new batteries(did not help) and even tried recharging them in the sun a bit and this did not work either. Lol. The person who broke it says they may have pushed the film too far in- could this cause a camera to stop turning on? Thanks guys

Welcome to Nikonians!
Sorry to hear of your problem.
It shouldn't have caused the problem, but anything is possible. Is the film still jammed in the body?
If it is, Open the camera back and remove the film then test the camera.
Good Luck and Enjoy your Nikons!

Thalia, welcome to Nikonians!
1) Is there film in the camera? If so I suggest removing the film.
2) Even if there is film in the camera and is stuck, you should be able to get some information on the LCD screen. If nothing is turning up, it could be that the LCD needs replacement. Unfortunately, I think that with the falling prices of film bodies, it may be best to buy another (albeit) film body.
When my N80 died, it was a Main Circuit Board failure...too expensive to replace; I got an ERR message but one that was not in the manual, I took it in to an authorized repair facility and they checked it out.
