Since request for information to where manuals can obtained from is very often asked, I thought a summarised list of publicly available downloads would be helpful. If anyone out there has links to the other bodies that are not listed below, please feel free to add to the list.
Third-party manuals for the Nikon FE, FE2, FE10, FA, FM, FM10, FM2n, FM3a and F3 are available at the Photography in Malaysia website. They're in HTML format. See the links at the bottom of the page -- for some, you'll have to dig a little, but they're there.
Thanks for the link to the Nikon Europe digital SLR site. It turns out that this is a front end to their FTP site, which contains some other manuals not listed on the main page. You can get to them from here:
k_visit40, try looking on http://www.manuals2go.com although they will charge you for it if they have a copy (CD, photocopy or downloadable PDF). Loads of copies for sale on Ebay too. I'm not a fan of buying from people who've scanned a couple of dozen original manuals and are making money from knocking out copies, but you may not have a choice.
I've never found one yet, but as a quick substitute, check out the instructions for the F601, which has many similarities, you'll see the differences for yourself, try this web site. If thats not enough you can get a Hove guide book to the 801s cheaply at auction, it tells a bit more than the actual instructions in terms of what the matrix meter takes acount of etc.
.. Hello to all you N80-F80 owners out there having trouble finding an instruction manual, I just came across this link to an "off market" yet informative PDF download. Hope this helps. http://www.lensinc.net/freeuser.html
