Vivitar dedicated flash
The Vivitar flash 730AF is available dedicated to Nikon. According to the specifications they claim the unit "Provides complete TTL auto exposure flash operation" Unfortunately they don't provide any more detail. Has anyone had any experience with Vivitar dedicated flashes for the F80/N80? Is it really fully compatible?, Does the multi-sensor fill flash work?

I too wondered abuot the same and e-mailed the Vivitar (infact about 850AF) and asked whether it supports 3D multi sensor balanced fill flash and Fill flash for nikon
They said the question was forwarded to technical devision and answered me in the affirmative !
(Then I thought Sunpak PZ-5000 was better and asked the nikonians about it ....(just check the thread on "extra gadgets").....none of them wanted me to buy it! So I'm gonna wait)

Actually it seems to me if a flash supports TTL it should support any body mounted functions. Since the end result of all flash control is when to shut off, any flash with the 'shut-off' function should shut off when the body thru whatever voodoo it do decides that enuf is enuf and signals the flash to call it quits.
That is my take so it could be based on a simplistic veiw of the systems involved. With that in mind I will now shut off...

It would be really nice if it does so!!!.... because I can settle for a Sunpak!!
But what about firing Five countinues flashes for the measurement purposes and exposing with the sixth (as 'they say' happens in 3D multi sensor balanced fill flash)
