I'm not joking, really! I picked up my EM, looked through the viewfinder, and saw two insects happily marching around on the focusing screen!

Out came my can of compressed air, no good! Couldn't get them! I looked through the hole again, and I swear the little buggers were laughing at me! I've heard of this happening... it's a species that lives off tiny quantities of the special lubricant used inside cameras. But I really don't want these guys as tennants.

War it is. The question is, what weapons can I use? OK, I could microwave the camera. That would kill the invaders, but also the camera and probably the microwave oven as well. The idea of squirting bug spray into an SLR would probably result in Bo banning me from putting any more posts up here...

So my next stage is the deep freeze. I've wrapped the camera in a plastic bag, and taken the batteries out. Let's see if they have thick socks and wooley underwear on and can handle a couple of days at minus 18 C!

Any other suggestions?

Watch this space...

Mike
