I have three Nikomat Ftn's. I am selling two of them, and keeping the third until I can afford to fix the F. Anyway, the one I have chosen to keep has a battery in it (i have no idea how old it is), but the meter is wildly inaccurate. I can put the lens cap on, set the aperature at 5.6 and shutter at 500 and it tells me there is plenty of light for a picture!

Needless to say I've been guessing a lot lately. I have heard that the mercury batteries these things use are no longer available. Is that my problem? Is there a suitable replacement for these things? Is my meter toast?

Any help would be appreciated.
