I have a Nikon F, I think it's an Ftn, but I'm not sure. I inherited it from my grandpa. I love the camera, but it has developed a problem where the film will stop advancing. Sometimes this happens a few frames into a roll, and sometimes I cannot get it to work at all, even after rewinding the film.

I have had it repaired locally by an old guy a few times. He always got it working, but after the last repair it froze up again in a few weeks. He never charged me much (I think $15 was the most I ever paid) so I appreciated the service, but if I want to use the camera again I really need to have it repaired by someone else.

Replacing this camera is really not an option, as it has a lot of sentimental value to me. Have any of you seen this problem before? Does anyone know of a good repair shop in the greater los angeles area? What is this camera worth anyway?

Lots of questions, I know.
