I got it today! It looks nice. But noticed the meter acts strange as you change apertures. I tried it with 2 different lenses. For example, in ap priority, you start wide open at f/2.8. Instead of shutter speed going down as you stop down, it goes up, then down. Like this: 1/125, 1/250, 1/250, 1/125, 1/60, 1/30, 1/15. It does it in manual mode too. -, +-, +, +-, -, -, -. I am using 2 new LR44 batteries. Could I be overlooking something? Is that a common problem with FA?

Then something is likely wrong in the electronics, such as the camera thinking that a flash is attached or is in program mode rather than aperture priority mode.
I suppose it's worth one more try to ensure that all of the dials and levers are correctly engaged and aligned, but that 25+ y/o flexible printed circuit board in the FA is the scariest thing about owning one. It sounds like "contact the seller" time to me.
One of the biggest mistakes a photographer can make is to look at the real world and cling to the vain hope that next time his film will somehow bear a closer resemblance to it. - Galen Rowell
